They should make a "home octane kit" so you can determine what the octane is on your own instead of believing what the sign really says.
I always suspected these "cheesy" gas stations selling super/premium gas well below the local average price of actually selling 89 octane. Or it's the "bottom of the barrel" stuff. Either way it sucks.
The feds should keep these people in check.

I am jealous of you all. I live in Colorado and the Highest octane rating I can get at any gas station here is only 91. I almost always get my gas at Amoco.
